Our Kota Kinabalu Getaway...

We planned our KK trip a year back, eying on promo fares..and fortunately we got one for 2k+ and we immediately grabbed it. Courtesy of Cebu Pacific for making our trip happened.
Since we have a year preparation we still have time to process for our passport and save every month for our pocket money.
Unfortunately, all promo fares from CebuPacific would be always on the inconvenient time, geezz.. so it was on a 11pm trip.. so what the hell yeah..
Since most of us are first time out of the country travellers, Immigration officers are very strict on their interrogation tactics. hehehe .. as if we are not going back to Philippines. They are requiring us to show occupation status and Company ID's as proof that we are employed.

It was a tiring trip, when we get to KK (Kota Kinabalu) Airport.
Since we got there on early morning, we have no choice but to get a taxi cab since in Kota, there is no other mode of transportation aside from Taxi. Fare is around 30 Ringgit approximately if you are in a group of 4 and if you are in a large group, it would be probable 60 Ringgit or more..Since we are 5 travelling, a normal taxi wont be allowed to get us all 5 of us so we need to get a much bigger Taxi, which it is  a van. It was calculated as 63 Ringgit.

We arrived to our resting place.. our safe haven, Lavender Lodge.

The place was cozy and quite. I love the place. It is near to a mall and fastfood places that we could run to when are famished from the trip. We get to dine at KFC. hehehe
One of our colleague is a KFC lover, and even we are amazed to how big is their chicken serving. We got a bucket meal and we are so full because of the chicken breast that are so big. I think it  is not chicken, it was ostrich hatch-lings..hehehe.. I kindda new to the taste though, especially on their mashed potatoes...I love the flavor back there in the Philippines, but when I get to taste a different blend with a aroma of pepper on it ( i think its pepper), I didn't finish the rest of it.
After finishing our midnight dinner, we head back to Lavender Lodge for a long sleep..hehehe time to wait for our 2nd batch of friend traveling..

Our 2nd batch of friends arrived before lunch, and we are ready for our first lunch together in Kota.

We get to try a Chinese Restaurant.. Sri Melaka ( I hope I get to read it correctly)

This is

The rice is RM 1.50 per person and they combined it in one big bowl.. It is good as unlimited rice since you could get another batch of rice as a group serving.
We settled for plain rice, since the sinangag na rice is much expensive..

This one is like talbos ng kamote, but its a bit more crunchy compared to that and taste good.
I love this one, it is like a counter part of adobo flakes but this one is seafood flakes from shrimps.. love it..

We got fried chicked (as is a normal friend chicken as requested by one of our friend who craved for a simple fried chicken.. love you Ple..)
A buttered Prawn
Assam Fish
S. Manis D. Shrimp
and plate of peanut for appetizer (free)
